The in-person symposium culminated with interactive roundtable discussions, emphasising the commitment of those participating to turn these conversations into actions. To wrap up the hybrid component of the event, Jill Benn, Chair of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL), and University Librarian of The University of Western Australia presented the CAUL Strategic Program: From Decolonisation to Indigenisation. The audience also enjoyed an engaging panel discussion on The Guidelines for Descriptions of First Nations Collections, from Michelle Rusiniak, University of Melbourne, Anthony McLaughlin, Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) and Tui Raven, Creative Director and Cultural Advisor.ĭr Kirsten Thorpe, Dr Shannon Faulkhead and Lauren Booker from the Indigenous Archives Collective shared their expertise on the Indigenous Referencing Guidance for Indigenous Knowledges: A Toolkit, a referencing guide tailored for undergraduate students.
